I visited Palapa Joe's in January of 2024. The main reason we went there was to watch football and have drinks. When we arrived they had the football 🏈 game on zero volume. We asked the owner if they could raise the volume and he denied our request. We had drinks and Guacamole. The Guacamole plate was delicious. The reason for the bad review was the tainted alcohol they served us. We asked for shots of Don Julio 70 and they served us a bad tasting tequila that did not taste like Don Julio 70. A few of my friends got sick from the tainted alcohol.
We love it here. Sports on the tv, live music, great food and the coldest beer in town. Try the Sopa Azteca, you won't be disappointed.
Friendly comfortable restaurant in beautiful town of La Manzanilla. Our excellent beef fajitas and chicken quesadillas were served quickly and presented well. Well equipped bar with a choice of Gins!
Good eats and drinks in a chill little seaside town! I highly recommend any of their pizzas and the mojito was made with freshly picked mint from the garden out back.

We have had Thanksgiving dinner here since 2015, except of course for last year. Just as good as ever. Make your reservations early, if you want a seat at the table. We always prefer the afternoon seating, in part, since our friends from Barra usually join us. Music is provided during the busy season. This year we will be leaving town before it begins but we highly recommend visiting Palapa Joe's for the food and atmosphere. This year in addition to coming for Thanksgiving, we stopped by to watch some of the Monday Night football game. In the past, we enjoyed watching the Michigan v. Ohio State game, too. Usually there are some local fans to hang out and cheer with which makes it fun. Willy's drinks esp. the margaritas are the best.
